The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of KuwaitiKuwait (5-1) in Kuwait City on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by UAE Shabab Al Ahli (5-1) 90-83 . It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kuwait. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Shabab Al Ahli made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. American guard Deshawndre Washington (201, college: NM State) fired 16 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Forward Hamid Albreiki (190-2000) chipped in 25 points. American point guard Briante Weber (188-1992, college: VCU) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import forward JaKarr Sampson (206-1993, college: St.John's) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kuwait's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Shabab Al Ahli have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending UAE champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Kuwait.
